Reasons to Keep Your Cat(s) Indoors

My cat's actually pretty tough. He's chased foxes out of the neighborhood and raccoons up trees, believe it or not. He's also continually brought back dead squirrels, chipmunks and mice, and even a few birds. My dad and I started keeping a kill count, which included one "classified" kill that included a blue-jay in a neighbor's backyard.
One reason to keep them out:
A daughter's severe allergy.
Otherwise, Pepper would be relaxing inside.
Yup, that's a good reason, severe allergy.
I also make exceptions for people who are caring for, say, 18 stray cats, feeding them every day and letting them shelter in the barn. You can't have 18 cats in the house!
Stay tuned for an upcoming post on Larry, the Cat Man. He has (last I heard) 40 indoor cats, and counting!
