How to Begin Forgiving

I once asked somebody who had been very grievously wronged how she had managed to forgive the wrongdoer. Her reply, which startled me at the time, was, "I'm not sure I fully have."

I have since learned what that means, and have found the remark very comforting. The point was and is to be always trying, always willing, always struggling to forgive.
